Small Animal Internal Medicine and Interventional Endoscopy Internship
Salt River Veterinary Specialists is committed to providing personalized mentorship. We desire to have a profound and direct impact on advancing both professional and personal growth to focused and qualified veterinarians by completing a Small Animal Internal Medicine and Interventional Endoscopy Internship.
Our unique Internal Medicine and Interventional Endoscopy Internship is a year-long program of intense training for veterinarians who have graduated veterinary school and are already licensed doctors. In addition, our interns have already completed a small animal rotating internship and are now at Salt River for more advanced training. Salt River Veterinary Specialists’ program is designed to not only prepare veterinarians for an internal medicine residency but to also provide a unique interventional endoscopy and minimally invasive training experience.
To be selected for an internship, applicants complete a rigorous application and interview process to match with prospective specialty hospitals. Our Specialty Intern is selected in part due to their existing strength in internal medicine and desire to experience the forefront of the continually advancing field of veterinary medicine in minimally invasive medicine.
Our Specialty Intern’s commitment to patient care and family communication is paramount to meeting the expectations required to fulfill the needs of our community’s companion animals. Our specialty intern collaborates with our team of specialists to ensure peace of mind and the highest quality care in specialty medicine.
Each July we welcome a new Specialty Intern. This year our newest Specialty Intern, Dr. Aaren Glick, is excited to expand her passion for Internal Medicine. Learn more about Dr. Glick by visiting Our Doctors page!
