Small Animal Internal Medicine and Interventional Endoscopy Internship
Our unique Internal Medicine and Interventional Endoscopy Internship is a year-long program of intense training for veterinarians who have completed a small animal rotating internship. Salt River Veterinary Specialists’ program is designed to not only prepare veterinarians for an internal medicine residency but to also provide a unique interventional endoscopy and minimally invasive training experience.
To be selected for an internship, applicants complete a rigorous application and interview process to match with prospective specialty hospitals. Our Specialty Intern is selected in part due to their existing strength in internal medicine and desire to experience the forefront of the continually advancing field of veterinary medicine in minimally invasive medicine.
Our Specialty Intern’s commitment to patient care and family communication is paramount to meeting the expectations required to fulfill the needs of our community’s companion animals. Our specialty intern collaborates with our team of specialists to ensure peace of mind and the highest quality care in specialty medicine.
